The Daytona 500 start time 2012 edition is just around the corner. The event that revs up the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race season will be attended by thousands and watched by millions. Among those competing are last year’s Sprint Cup champ Tony Stewart, female driver Danica Patrick, and last year’s Daytona winner, Trevor Bayne.
So what time does the Daytona 500 start for 2012? Well the date of the event is Sunday, February 26th, while the start time is scheduled for 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. For televised coverage, FOX will carry the race in its entirety, with practice shown on the Speed channel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. EST. At this time there are no legal Daytona 500 live streaming video feeds available online, but NASCAR’s website will have updated driver positions for the race for those unable to watch on Fox.
The Daytona 500 lineup has already been revealed earlier this week after the Gatorade Duels and qualifying were completed. Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart are among those starting up front. Others looking to gain a huge win on Sunday will be fan favorites like Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and of course Danica Patrick. Can Danica make history as the first female ever to win Daytona 500? Will last year’s winner Trevor Bayne finish first, or anywhere near there? What about favorites like Edwards and Stewart?
It should be another exciting race to start off a brand new NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season in 2012. Who will you be rooting for at the Daytona 500 on Sunday?
