December 21, 2012 Doomsday: ‘Gangnam Style’ Singer Psy Linked to Prophecy

December 21, 2012 has panicked preppers everywhere stocking up on supplies or making pilgrimages to doomsday mountains said to house UFOs. Perhaps “Gangnam Style” singer Psy will be one of the lucky survivors who get to hitch a ride with the aliens when they flee from their secret mountain bases.

After all, Psy is supposedly special—one blogger claims that the singer is part of one of Nostradamus’ many prophecies. According to The Huffington Post, here’s what the prediction in question says:

“From the calm morning, the end will come … When of the dancing horse the number of circles will be 9.”

So what does this seemingly nonsensical sentence have to do with the Korean pop star who has taken over the world with “Gangnam Style”?

According to a blogger on The Project Avalon forum, “Korea” translates to “The Land of the Morning Calm.” Psy pretends to ride a horse during his famous “Gangnam Style” dance, and his video almost has a billion views on YouTube. The number one billion has nine zeroes (circles).

So maybe Psy is actually an alien who was sent to Earth to warn everyone that the apocalypse really will occur on December 21, 2012. The video for “Gangnam Style” currently has about 938 million views on YouTube, so it could reach the one billion mark on doomsday.

Of course this is all extremely silly, and it’s possible that the Nostradamus prediction above was just made up. Some people on the internet do have too much time on their hands, and untrue urban legends are always being spread via the web. Perhaps a Nostradamus scholar will check his writings to see if the passage above really does exist.

Maybe it just seems like the end is near to some people because earworms like “Call Me Maybe,” “What Makes You Beautiful,” and “Gangnam Style” get played so much that they almost seem like some sort of mind control devices used to keep the masses calm.

So Psy needs to get busy recording a cover of REM’s “It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)” before he boards his UFO so the world has something fun to rock out to during doomsday.
