Demi Lovato to be Fired from ‘X Factor’ for Bullying?

Rumor has it that Demi Lovato may get booted from her job as an X Factor judge because Simon Cowell doesn’t cotton to her bullying ways. Could it be that Demi, who has often claimed she was bullied as a child, is really a bully herself?

Yes, rumor has it that Simon Cowell, who hasn’t always been known for being the sweetest, most polite guy on the planet himself, is fed up with Demi’s “unbearable attitude and all around annoying personality.”

“It’s that time of year [when] you’re always going to get asked that question,” Cowell replied when asked if Demi might be fired. “And I’m not going to answer it. She really, really is a tough little thing. I know she plays the ‘I’ve been bullied’ [card] – trust me, this one gives as good as she gets.”

The “I’ve been bullied card”? Ouch. The fact that Lovato has remarked in numerous interviews that she was once an object of ridicule makes it difficult to believe that she would become a bully herself when placed in a position of power. On the other hand, it’s a relatively common psychological phenomenon that people who have been abused often grow up to abuse others. If that’s what’s happening with Demi, she may be unaware of the amount of pain her comments and criticism cause others. On the other hand, if she’s deliberately using her stories of being bullied as a psychological ruse to get away with her own rude or downright cruel behavior, that is unconscionable.

According to Melissa Flores at Celeb Dirty Laundry, the “banter between Lovato and Cowell” can get pretty intense. In fact, “it takes awhile before she lets up. She’s got to have the last word and yet she does in fact talk about how she was bullied. Simon is only going to put up [it]… for so long…”

Yikes. There you have it. Do you think Demi Lovato’s future on the X Factor will be cut short? Do you think she’s a bully?

Stay tuned.
