Derrick Rose to Return Monday Night Against Denver Nuggets

The Return is here.

Derrick Rose could finally be making his long awaited debut. This time, it might be for real. Rose, who has been out for over 10 months now with his ACL injury which he endured last year in the first round of the NBA playoffs, is finally going to be back. Rose was already medically cleared to play but was still dealing with the mental aspect of returning and not reinjuring his knee.

However, a source has now confirmed that Rose is past his mental hurdle and will return to the NBA court on Monday night at home in Chicago vs. the Denver Nuggets. A big clue to the return is the fact that the Bulls moved their telecast versus the Nuggets from CSN-Comcast plus to their flagship CSN Comcast SporstNet network. Rose has been doing five on five drills for over a month now and has been practicing with contact for over two months now.

Rose had indicated that he would not return until he was 110 percent so it looks like he won’t have any minutes restriction against the Nuggets since he’s all the way recovered. This was the biggest thing with the Bulls management, who wanted Derrick Rose to be “Derrick Rose” on the court without thinking about it. Once Rose steps out on the court, all his mental fear will go away.
