DirecTV Saves Damages

Damages has been saved by DirecTV. The faltering drama Damages which stars Glenn Close and Rose Bryne was axed by FX and on the verge of oblivion when DirectTV came to it’s rescue. It will only be shown on DirecTV, no longer on FX. Damages has been signed for 20 more episodes with DirecTV starting in it’s 3rd season.

The announcement was made by Sony Pictures Television and DirecTV on Monday. Damages was created by Todd and Glenn Kessler along with Daniel Zelman in 2007 and was set in New York. Damages is a legal drama which centers Patty Hewes played by Glenn Close, who is a “brilliant yet ruthless lawyer” and her her protégée Ellen Parsons played by Rose Byrne.

Although I have never watched a full episode, I am glad that DirecTV Saves Damages because one of my good friends loves it! I’m sure she was sweating a little thinking one of her favorite shows would be gone forever but thanks for DirecTV, another show is salvaged. Hopefully the cast and crew of Damages is grateful.

Shocker! Damages Saved by DirecTV
