Pinterest has swept the Internet recently, and users generally love what they see. However, sometimes nudity and pornography get pinned, and some people are not loving that. Does the site protect against this type of content?

Does Pinterest Protect Users From Nudity, Porn?Yes, Pinterest does have policies in place that do not allow nudity or hateful pins. In its etiquette section the site says, “We do not allow nudity or hateful content.” How is it that you see nudity sometimes while browsing the “Everything” section?

Well, some pinners must not realize the site’s terms of service which do not allow “any content that…is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, vulgar or offensive.” However, these rules do not apply to art, which can have a blurry line for sure.

The good news is that if you see something that obviously crosses the line between pornography and art on Pinterest, you can flag the pin, which sends it to be manually reviewed. If the review team agrees, that pin will be completely removed, and the pinners will be notified.

Have you found this to be a problem on the widely popular social networking site? If so, have you ever flagged a pin?
