Selena Gomez is an actress, recording artist, and the girlfriend of Justin Bieber, but she’s still a down-to-earth Texas girl at heart.  Her honest, laid back lack of pretension comes through not only in her interviews and in her interaction with her fans but also in her personal sense of style.  Although she’s known for walking the red carpet in Marchesa, Christian Cota, and most recently Dolce & Gabbana, in her personal life, she prefers to shop at Target and Victoria’s Secret.

Basia Richard, Selena Gomez ‘s personal stylist for the last four years, recently revealed that The Wizards of Waverly Place star “loves BCBG, Target, and the VictoriaÂ’s Secret catalogue.”   Like most teenagers, she especially likes to stroll through shopping malls and large department stores where “she can easily run in and out.”

When red carpet time rolls around, Selena is, like her boyfriend Justin Bieber, partial to Dolce & Gabbana. In fact, devoted “Jelena” watchers will remember the couple posing for paparazzi in matching red and black Dolce & Gabbana ensembles at the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party.  Of course, whether she’s on or off the red carpet, the Disney starlet’s favorite accessory is a pair of hoop earrings.  “She wears them absolutely everywhere — thatÂ’s like her ‘itÂ’ accessory.”

Although Selena seems “so happy with Justin,” it’s unlikely he’ll influence her future fashion style.  “She trusts her own opinions,” mused Basia.  “She needs to feel good in what she wears, and regardless of what I have to say about it, or her mom or her friends, sheÂ’s going to wear what she feels good in.”

Obviously, Selena feels just as good either in clothes from Target and Victoria’s Secret or in haute couture, and she’s not likely to alter her fashion sense for anyone–even her significant other.  And speaking of the Biebs, didn’t he go on a mega shopping spree at Victoria’s Secret on Valentine’s Day?
