There were two earthquakes in Indonesia. First there was a 6.2 magnitude earthquake followed just minutes later by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake off Irian Jaya, Indonesia.

Right now there are not details about the Indonesia earthquake. It was a strong quake so there may be some damage and injuries to report as details emerge in the situation. There were some power outages reported.

How scary to have 2 earthquakes so close together in Indonesia. The quakes were near Papua, Indonesia. The people ran away from beaches fearing a tsunami. The quake was strong enough to trigger one. However, there was not a tsunami, so that is something to be thankful for.

There have been several earthquakes around the world tonight. Earthquakes occured in Indonesia and the Solomon Islands. First, there has been a 5.5 magnitude earthquake near the Solomon islands. Thankfully there is no damage reported in this earthquake.

Lately there have been several earthquakes around the world. Many of them have been smaller, but this report of a 7.4 magnitude is one of the largest earthquake reports recently.
