It’s another day for “Twilight” fans to celebrate and head to their favorite DVD store.  Bella, Edward and Jacob are back and better than ever as the vampires and werewolves combine their strength in the ultimate battle to save Bella’s life.

That’s right: it’s December 4, and “Eclipse” is finally available on DVD!  Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner reprise their roles of the three most popular characters in books and movies today.  In the third installment, the triangle between the three will become more intense, as Edward and Bella agree to marry before Edward changes her into a vampire, and Jacob fights to win Bella’s heart before it stops beating.  The passion, romance and drama increase dramatically in “Eclipse,” and are intensified by the return of Victoria, who has created an army of Newborns, fresh-made vampires whose thirst for blood is so great, they make the perfect soldiers to go after Edward and Bella.

Once the Cullens realize this army is coming after Bella, thanks to Alice’s vision, they discuss the best way to take them out.  When Jacob finds out what’s going on, he brings his clan into the mix, and the Cullens and werewolves work together for the first time in history.  Adding to this mix are the newest members of the werewolf clan Quill, Lea and Seth, the youngest member of the clan.  The Volturi make their appearance too, but in their own conniving ways.

The battle scene is one that will go down in history, as the Newborns begin their attack on the Cullens, only to be shocked to see the werewolves coming in to help the Cullens in battle.  When Victoria arrives only to see that Edward and Bella are missing from the group, she figures out the deception to keep Bella away from the battle, and searches for them herself.  A battle to the death takes place between her and Edward, with Bella playing a major role in it.

After all of the intense action, the movie ends with another romantic scene of Edward and Bella in their meadow, making wedding plans.  They will marry at the end of summer, a month before Bella’s birthday, who doesn’t want to age another year older than Edward.  But they must face their biggest challenge yet before the wedding can take place: telling Charlie of their upcoming nuptials.

“Eclipse” is perhaps the best of the series so far, proving that stories do get better with age.  Now the hard part comes: waiting until next November for Part 1 of “Breaking Dawn.”  It is scheduled to be released in theatres November 18, 2011; Part 2 is scheduled to be released November 16, 2012.
