Emily Maynard might return for another season as ‘The Bachelorette’!

Emily Maynard got engaged to Brad Womack on the season finale of his second stint on The Bachelor. After that relationship ended, she became The Bachelorette and got engaged to Jef Holm. Now that that relationship is dunzo, will she try to find love on reality television a third time?

According to Radar Online, producers want Emily to do a second season of The Bachelorette now that she’s single again.

“Emily’s ratings were huge and the producers know that she is incredibly popular so they are talking with her about coming back for another try,” a “show source” tells the website. “Even though she has been burned twice, they are hoping that she will be open to the idea because they know it will be ratings gold and they know that she really likes being on TV and actually has fun on the show.”

Oh, “she really likes being on TV,” all right! There have been plenty of reports claiming that Emily wants to use The Bachelorette as a stepping-stone to other television opportunities, and Reality Steve once claimed that she only originally went on The Bachelor because she wanted to get famous. But she did complain on the show that she didn’t want to be someone who’s been engaged three times and never married, which is now the case after her messy breakup with Jef. So even if she would be up for another season as The Bachelorette, she might be wary of the damage a potential fourth broken engagement could do to her image (although the first engagement really shouldn’t count as “broken” since her fiance died). But according to Radar, producers are undeterred.

“The producers want to change things up and film in Los Angeles this time but they want to be respectful of Emily’s daughter Ricki so they’ll shoot around her school schedule and vacations,” Radar’s snitch says. “ABC loves Emily, there are tons of Emily fans and the producers think it could be an amazing twist that would really get people watching, even if it is haters tuning in to see what she will do a third time!”

Do producers really want Emily to come back again? The only other person who’s been the lead twice in the entire Bachelor/ette franchise is smokin’ hottie Brad, and there were four years between his seasons. Would producers want Emily back so quickly after her first season as The Bachelorette? Plus, there were reports that she was a difficult, demanding diva during production and was making some of the crew’s lives miserable, so that might be a reason to throw some shade on Radar’s claims. So considering Emily might be worried about how a possible fourth broken engagement could damage her image and producers’ potential unwillingness to put up with her alleged shenanigans again, this report might not be entirely on the money. But you never know with this franchise!

What do you think? Should Emily Maynard do a second season of The Bachelorette? Should she stop looking for love on television? Sound off in the comments!
