In Eminem’s new video, “Love The Way You Lie” Rihanna is featured singing the chorus, but it’s what the song is about that hits close to home for her.

The video stars Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan as a couple that are going through a vicious cycle of fighting, drinking, and abuse.

Rihanna is singing outside a house that is on fire, while throughout the video the couple played by Fox and Monaghan are kissing and then abusing one another. While all that is going on, Eminem, 37, is in a field rapping wearing a wifebeater.

There is a point in the video where the couple go to a bar and play some manipulative games with each other. They go back home and have a fight and then several things start to spontaneously combust, which is symbolic to what the characters are going through.

Eminem had this to say about the music video:

“(Directer) Joesph (Kahn) and I worked pretty closely together to make sure we got this right. Trying to make this tough subject work visually is a challenge. It was great to have Rihanna, Megan and Dominic on board for this. They really brought it and made this video super-powerful.”

Fox, 24, has donated the money she would of received for doing the video to a Sojourn House which is a shelter for abused women.

The video depicts what society goes through with domestic violence and how it affects people. The song is great as well as the video. It is great that Fox gave her money to a shelter.
