Earlier on Friday, comic book movie fans were treated to a first look at the recently unveiled cover of Entertainment Weekly displaying Ryan Reynolds in his ‘Green Lantern’ costume.  Now, it seems that further photos from the ‘Green Lantern’ movie have been scanned from the magazine’s pages and uploaded to the net.  They reveal the hero’s love interest, that super powerful ring and his evil mutated nemesis.

MTV previewed the new movie photo scans here at their site.  Ryan Reynolds will play the lead as Hal Jordan aka “Green Lantern”.  The hot love interest who will star with Reynolds is played by Blake Lively (“Gossip Girls”).  Lively will star as romantic interest Carol Ferris in the new DC Comics film.  We also get to see shot revealing several other cast members and characters.  One particular shot shows Tim Robbins as Senator Hammond along with Angela Bassett as Amanda Waller.  The two are looking at what appears to be a mutated Hector Hammond (played by Peter Sarsgaard).  Hammon will be the supervillain that ‘Green Lantern’ will battle in the new film.

Of course we also get another shot of Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan as he possesses his super green power ring.  It was either just tossed to him or is levitating over his palm.  Reynolds has an intense stare in most of the photos, including one of him holding Blake Lively close to his body.  Many female movie goers are already anticipating this film because of Ryan Reynolds.  I’m not sure if Blake Lively will be a big draw for male fans, like a Megan Fox or Jessica Alba might be, but truth will be told come 2011!

Which Superhero movie are you most looking forward to, ‘The Avengers’, ‘Batman 3′, ‘Thor’ or “Green Lantern’?
