Despite her married boyfriend’s wife’s accusation that Fantasia Barrino stole her man and made a sex tape with him, the former “American Idol” winner is denying she’s a homewrecker.

Paula Cook filed for divorce from her husband, Antwaun, last week, claiming he abandoned her and their two children last year just one month after meeting Fantasia at his T-Mobile store. But Fantasia’s manager, Brian Dickens, released a statement Monday saying she is “certain that she is not responsible for the deterioration of the Cooks’ marriage.”

“Fantasia will weather this storm with the dignity and grace that she has exemplified throughout a life in which she has repeatedly overcome obstacles and challenges,” the statement continued. “Fantasia’s faith in God, herself and family remain as strong as ever.”

I don’t know how much faith in family girlfriend can have, seeing as how she just broke one up. And she also probably shouldn’t be yapping about overcoming obstacles, since she isn’t the one whose hubby just dumped her for a multi-millionaire.

Not content just to have her rep deny the down-low lovin’, Fantasia got her lawyer in on the act, too.

“Mrs. Cook gratuitously included claims about Fantasia to sensationalize that litigation and to insure that her tale would be picked up by tabloids,” Gena Morris told TMZ.com (editor’s note: that’s not an actual denial that a tape exists). “The fact that she would seek such publicity in a case involving her children is particularly disgraceful.”

More disgraceful than stealing a man from his kids?
