ABC has decided to cancel Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, one of the most popular “good for the soul” shows on television. After nine seasons, Ty Pennington and the rest of the gang won’t be moving buses each week. File:Extreme Home Makeover episode shoot, at Houston, 2006.jpg

According to Gossip Cop, the show hasn’t put up the best numbers this season, even though they tried to include guests like the Kardashians and Michelle Obama. There will be a couple of specials along the same concept that will include Pennington and his builder friends, but nothing has been set in stone.

It’s a little shocking to hear this news, especially since the show was doing so well, but evidently it hasn’t been doing well enough. A lot of people are sad to see the 200th episode (airing on January 13) be the last, and it’s understandable why. This is the one show that people would watch each week, so happy for the families being helped… and it was so emotional. It was just a feel-good show that a lot of people seemed to enjoy.

Are you sad to see Extreme Makeover: Home Edition go?
