Ah, Lady Gaga. Will she never go away—or at least have the decency to shut up? The now hefty Porker Face—er—Poker Faced One has been whining a lot lately because the media is harping on her weight. She’s now trying to remedy that situation by pointing out the fact that British singer Adele is “bigger than she is,” yet isn’t criticized for it. That’s low. Man up, Stefani. And stop trying to “throw Adele under the bus” to deflect attention from your porcine self.
“When I heard it was on the news,” La Germanotta whined in a recent interview about the media’s obsession with her burgeoning girth, “where they talk about wars, the economy crashing and the election—I just thought, ‘this is f—— ridiculous.’ I mean, what kind of example is that to a young girl sitting at home? I thought, well I don’t really care if they think I’m fat, because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30 pounds. Adele is bigger than me, how come nobody says anything about it?”
Once again, Stefani is…mistaken. Adele has often been criticized for her obesity. Karl Lagerfeld once famously referred to Adele as “too fat.” And the recent birth of her child was greeted with an inexplicable outpouring of hate on Twitter including insulting speculation that her baby would be “fat and handicapped” and even vicious death threats to both mother and child. Apparently, Germanotta missed all that. Perhaps she was at Burger King or KFC that day. On the other hand, she later tried to undo her ridiculous remarks by praising Adele. Alas, she was not convincing.
“She’s so wonderful,” Lady Gaga gushed, “and I think her confidence is something I have to match. She has set the bar very high for a lot of women. I need to be a confident woman and just say politically active things when I can that are helpful to young people.”
Right. Perhaps this ridiculous woman should take some time off and go to a weight loss camp. She’ll lose the 30 pounds she gained thereby becoming healthier and happier. And as a bonus, the world will get a much needed break from her ludicrous presence.
