Bruce Springsteen fans heard that The Boss and The E-Street Band were hard at work on a new album. But until today the release date and even the title of the album
remained a mystery. According to Paste Magazine reporter Hilary Saunders, the new album entitled Wrecking Ball will finally be released on March 6, 2012.

Thanks to the wonders of the Internet, fans can hear the first single “We Take Care of Our Own” courtesy of Amazon.com.

After the death of long-time E-Street band saxophonist “The Big Man” Clarence Clemons in June 2011, fans weren’t sure when the new album would drop or what it would sound like.

But by all accounts Bruce Springsteen fans won’t be disappointed in Wrecking Ball. It’s the band’s first album since Working on a Dream (2009), and the accolades are already pouring in.

Bruce is no stranger to collaboration. On new album, he worked with the likes of Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and drummer Matt Chamberlain, who has previously been part of The Smashing Pumpkins, and most recently worked with singer/songwriter Tori Amos.

The Paste article says the new album “sounds like standard 21st century Bruce-driving,
defensive, and defiant.”

It sounds like the new album is worth the wait. Not surprisingly Bruce Springsteen’s manager Jon Laudau says, “The writing is some of the best of his career and both
veteran fans and those who new to Bruce will find much to love on Wrecking Ball.”
