Florida Cracker Cornbread

Yield: 1 batch
1 1/2 c Cornmeal
2 1/2 c Buttermilk
2 c All-purpose flour
1 tb Baking powder
1 ts Salt
2/3 c White sugar
2 ea Eggs
1/2 Corn oil
Pre-heat your oven to 400 deg-F.
Mix cornmeal & buttermilk together in a bowl.
Allow to stand for 5 mins.
Grease a 9″ x 13″ baking pan.
Whisk your flour, baking powder, salt & sugar together.
Mix in your cornmeal mixture, eggs & corn oil until smooth.
Pour this batter into your pan.
Bake for 30-35 mins. until a knife inserted into center comes out clean.
