The world has been on the edge of their seats, watching the rescue of the miners in Chile. Family and friends of miners have waited for two months, anxious to be reunited with their loved ones. However, one reunion may be a little awkward. When he emerged from the mine, Yonni Barrios was greeted by his mistress, Susana Valenzuela, instead of his wife. Barrios actually requested Valenzuela be one of three people to greet him when he was freed from the mine.

During a gathering of the miner’s families before the rescue, Barrios’ wife of 28 years, Marta Salinas, learned of her husband’s infidelity when she spotted Valenzuela shouting her husband’s name. What a way to find out your spouse is cheating.

Salinas decided not to attend and she told local journalist, “He asked me to come, but it turns out he also invited the other woman and I have decency. This is very clear: It’s her or me.” Out of the mine and into the fire.
