Furious Robert Pattinson Warns Taylor Lautner to ‘Back Off’ Kristen Stewart

In the Twilight Saga, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner’s fictional characters, Edward and Jacob, are enemies and rivals for the affections of the beautiful Bella Swan who is hopelessly in love with Edward, but still good friends with Jacob. However, the fact that she and Jacob are just BFFs doesn’t stop Jacob from hoping their relationship will someday become romantic. Nor does it assuage Edward’s jealousy. It’s a familiar plot device, and it works very well in the films. However, now it seems that art is actually imitating life.

Robert Pattinson reportedly went ballistic on Taylor Lautner on the set of the Ellen Degeneres Show recently. R-Pattz hit the roof because he thought Lautner was flirting with Kristen Stewart. In fact, according to OK! Magazine, Rob went “crazy” when Kristen “threw grapes into her sexy co-star’s mouth and repeatedly touched his leg… Rob was certain that she was trying to make him jealous.”

An inside source reported after the show:

“He hit the roof. He told them that their behaviour made him look stupid.”

The seemingly omniscient insider went on to say that even though Robert Pattinson is clearly the bigger star and the greater “fan favourite,” he’s always felt “threatened by Taylor.” When he saw Lautner and K-Stew “fawning” over each other, it was just too much. He lost it.

“He thought it was excessive, insensitive and that Kristen was enjoying making him jealous,” explained the source. “He told him to back off Kristen and find his own girlfriend.”

So, there you have it. Is the fictional triangle becoming a real-life soap opera situation? And if it is, how will it end? Will Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart remain steady as they go? Or will K-Stew eventually succumb to Taylor Lautner’s charms and leave R-Pattz face down in the dust?

Or, is it all just an effective and very well-played publicity stunt?

Stay tuned.
