Should Americans boycott Korean rapper “Psy”? You see, the musical artist behind “Gangnam Style,” which has supplanted Justin Bieber as the top YouTube video of all time, seems to hate the United States.
Consider these lyrics from one of his songs:
“Kill those f***ing Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives/Kill those f***ing Yankees who ordered them to torture/Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers/Kill them all slowly and painfully,” he sings. Wow!
This dimwit has also protested the continued presence of American soldiers and marines in his country. Were his grandparents also whining, when the same heros saved their rear-ends from the Chinese 60 years ago? Not likely. In the Korean war, 35,000 U.S. servicemen died, and nearly 100,000 were injured.
What’s truly galling, is that Psy is slated to perform before White House officials at the annual “Christmas in Washington” event on Dec. 21. Should he be disinvited, in light of his despicable views?
If it weren’t for the U.S. military, this fellow would be living under communists right now, and he certainly wouldn’t be earning millions as a musician. Do you believe that people should boycott this ingrate, or let bygones be bygones? What is your opinion?
Psy’s Gangnam Style YouTube has garnered about 903 million page views, making it the most popular video of all time. And a huge portion of his fans are, in his parlance, ” f***ing Yankees.”
