‘Glee’ Actor Charice Gets Botox at 18-Years Old – Too Young?

When you think of Botox, don’t you think of Hollywood actors getting the procedure because they’re starting to age, and lines on their face are becoming more prominent? Here’s an actor/singer who, at age 18, received Botox to prep for an upcoming role on the T.V. series ‘Glee’. How absurd does that even sound? Singer Charice, who is prepping for her role on ‘Glee’ did just that – received Botox, and in reality that’s absolutely ridiculous.

On top of the Botox treatment, Charice received a skin tightening Thermage procedure “to look fresh” on camera according to Associated Press from PEOPLE reports.

How much more fresh does an 18-year old need to look exactly? Is Hollywood take on looking young and beautiful taking it too far? When teenagers are having plastic surgery and skin procedures in order to look their best on camera, you know the message they’re receiving is absolutely that of other Hollywood stars, even if the message came through indirectly.

Charice’s dermatologist was quoted saying, “Charice’s face, I’ve been noticing, it’s been getting wider.” Wider from chewing gum apparently. Vicki Belo, the dermatologist, was trying to alter the shape of Charice’s “naturally round face.” Botox is a business, obviously Vicki promotes Botox as part of her business – of course she’s going to recommend the procedure!
