While Blaine’s missing Kurt, who’s enjoying his life in New York, Finn has come to New York to see Rachel just as she and Brody were sharing their first kiss. This can’t end well.

In the Glee season 4 episode 4 sneak peek for “The Break Up” (below), Cory Monteith explains that Finn and Rachel are dealing with “a lot of growing pains” with their lives going in different directions. Finn spent some time in the army, while Rachel is enjoying her makeover. There’s clearly something between her and Brody, and it doesn’t look like this episode can end in any other way but with Finn and Rachel officially ending their relationship.

The two couples will be spending time at “Callbacks,” a piano bar where NYADA kids go to sing, and with Brody in the background, there could be some drama for Rachel and Finn. However, the focus of that part of the video is on Blaine and Kurt. Blaine’s going to be taking the stage to sing “an emotional version” of “Teenage Dream” to Kurt, recalling when they met. Will they still be together when the episode ends, or will they too break up? Could they end up taking a break? They’re in different points in their lives—Kurt is thriving in New York, while Blaine’s still back at McKinley and realizing he did transfer for Kurt—and the promo certainly points to things ending on a heartbreaking note for the couple.
