You might think that having your own talk show, your own radio show, and your own college would be enough for any person, but Glenn Beck has expanded his media empire once again. Last night, Glenn Beck launched ‘The Blaze’ an online newspaper with a conservative slant.
The launch of ‘The Blaze’ comes just days after Beck, Palin and Co. stood before 87,000 to 500,000 people to help restore honor to America. In a further effort to inform the people of The United States, Beck has started the Blaze to help make sense of the world.
â€œIf you are like me, watching the news or reading the paper can be an exercise in exasperation. Itâ€™s so hard to find a place that helps me make sense of the world I see,â€ Beck wrote in a note on the website. â€œToo many important stories are overlooked. And too many times we see mainstream media outlets distorting facts to fit rigid agendas.â€
Politico reports that the website was put together in just two months. The site is being edited by Scott Baker, who used to work for conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart.
Jon Seidl from the American Spectator and Meredith Jessup from Town Hall will also be working as reporters for Beck.
Right now, ‘The Blaze’ has a handful of stories up, many of which are centered around Beck, and of course, an ad for GoldLine, one of Beck’s sponsors.
‘The Blaze’ has only been live for about 12 hours, but with Beck’s following and media power, if the site is run well, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this site gain a huge following in the next few days.
