Good Chance that Donald Trump Will Run for President

No on loves Donald Trump as much as Donald loves himself. Trump is such a fan that he believes that he could lead the country. But we wonder just what he has going for him.

If the Celebrity Apprentice host doesnÂ’t get the Republican partyÂ’s nomination for candidacy, he plans on running as an independent candidate.

DonÂ’t expect him to make things official before the end of Celebrity Apprentice in June he told My Fox NY this morning.

“I can’t run during the airing of that show, I’m not allowed to.”

As The Big D pointed out this morning, he feels like heÂ’s doing well in the polls. Trump is tied with Mike Huckabee for second place for voters in a GOP primary. Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts, is ahead of Trump and Huckabee.

The Donald has many supporters of the so-called “birthers” who don’t believe that Obama was born in the USA.

“It’s a very important issue,” Trump said, “I’m not ashamed of having raised that issue.”

But this issue was raised and reviewed years ago. Time to let it go Donald and find another issue to battle.

What makes Donald Trump think that he has what it takes to be president? This morning he said that he was a smart man and went to the best colleges. Okay, but what about foreign policy? Trump said he is “only interested in Libya if we take the oil,” and that if he were president, “I would not leave Iraq and let Iran take over the oil.” HeÂ’s critical of the Chinese, stating, “I would tell China that you’re either going to shape up, or I’m going to tax you at 25 percent for all the products you send into this country.” Yeah, heÂ’s talking big now but what will really happen if he actually did become president?

When asked if he was really serious about running or was he just trying to get ratings for his show he answered, “I don’t need to do this for ratings on the Apprentice. This is too important, our country is in trouble, our country is not being properly led. It needs help.”

Well, yes, maybe the country does need help but is Donald Trump is the right person? He isn’t a politician, never held political office, and the only thing he seems to talk about is if Obama is a legal citizen or not. What about the economy, Donald? Unemployment? The homeless? Most of us worry about things like this although Trump might not. Running the country isn’t as easy as looking at an employee and saying, “You’re fired!” But then again, if President Trump doesn’t work out, the country can always fire him.

HereÂ’s a video of TrumpÂ’s interview this morning.
