Grey’s Anatomy returns with new episodes on September 27 at 9 p.m. on ABC, and while the upcoming ninth season is going to be addressing the aftermath of the plane crash, it will also have to deal with the changes coming to Seattle Grace.

Grey’s Season 9 Spoilers

According to E! Online, “Grey’s is looking for a new doctor in his mid-40s, who is perhaps just what Seattle Grace needs: a genuinely good guy.” This is a potentially recurring role, so you have to wonder what his role in the hospital could end up being. How will his interactions with the rest of the staff go?

This is just one of a few new doctors coming to the show in Grey’s Anatomy season 9. The end of last season saw Seattle Grace lose Kim Raver’s Teddy to another job, and Lexie in the plane crash, and with Eric Dane’s Mark departing as well, with the addition of new interns, there are going to be several new characters to get to know over the course of the season and to watch as they work with the characters you’ve gotten to know over the years. Speaking of new interns, spoilers have teased that Meredith’s going to be a bit meaner this season. With this “genuinely good guy” coming in, could he have something to say about her attitude?
