This year CBS remade Hawaii Five-0 with a pretty hot cast: Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, and Grace Park.  It’s been a success and has brought in many fans (and not just those who miss O’Loughlin from the less-than-successful Moonlight or Three Rivers, or those who still have that hole from the end of Lost).  Whether people are tuning in every Monday at 10PM or setting their DVRs, they’ve been impressed and hopefully future story lines continue to keep viewers interested.

Reiko Aylesworth to Play Chin Ho’s Ex

Speaking of Lost, fans will recognize the actress Hawaii Five-0 has brought on as Malia, Chin Ho’s (Daniel Dae Kim) ex-fiance.  Reiko Aylesworth played Amy Goodspeed on Lost, one of the members of Dharma back in the ’70s in season 5.  More recently Aylesworth has had parts on Damages and SGU Stargate Universe.  Apparently Chin Ho and Malia reconnect when the case of the week brings him to a hospital where she works.  There are even rumors they could possibly get back together, and since TVGuide has mentioned that she”still wears Chin’s engagement ring around her neck,” it certainly doesn’t seem like she’s moved on.  Hopefully before this possible reunion things are friendly between the two and not like Danny’s interactions with his ex (especially when fans first met her).  Guess it will depend how their relationship ended.  But how bad could it have been if she keeps the ring on her?  It will also be nice to see a story line focused on Chin Ho, and not just Steve and Danny (though it’s hard not to laugh listening to those two argue).

What do you think of this casting?  Have you been watching Hawaii Five-0?
