Helpless

I don't know why I do what I do;

For some reason I always succomb to you,

and I curse myself for the way that I feel,

but in your arms, it seems so real.

I don't understand it,

don't even want to try;

All I know is I can't say goodbye;

Loving you is easy,

both innocent and wild;

You love me like a woman,

but I feel helpless like a child.

You stir something inside of me

and your loving sets me free;

I know these may be foolish words,

but sometimes it's hard to see.

Sometimes it's hard to see through these tears

that seem to fall like rain;

They only seem to cleanse my soul,

so that I can feel again.

And then here I am, right back with you

lying in your arms,

a helpless soul in need of love,

taken in by all of your charms.

I don't know why I do what I do;

For some reason I always succomb to you,

and I curse myself for the way that I feel,

but in your arms, it seems so real.
