The mysterious Honey Badger voice guy has finally been revealed. A recent TMZ video shows his face, with sunglasses on at night, and he’s asked what made him decide to go with this. While he doesn’t give a lot of info about himself, he gives plenty of info regarding his motives for voicing the animal clip.
The honey badger video has been a big, big deal on the video site YouTube. So who is the mystery man behind “The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger” video (seen here) which went viral on the site? It’s none other than Randall, seen in the new video below from TMZ. Nobody knew who Randall was exactly for over a year, but now some new details are coming to light.
Randall was asked what inspired him to give the voice over and he tells TMZ during their random interview:
“My sister showed me the original honey badger video and the narration is so mundane and so stupid.
This animal eats King Cobras, demolishes animals, and this narrator that is so boring, so I said, ‘we need to spice this thing up.’ I’ve always had a natural talent for narration, so I figured, what better animal to start with than the honey badger. Seriously.”
Randall believes in the fact that everyone has an “inner honey badger waiting to get out.” That alone was enough inspiration to get him behind the voice for the Honey Badger viral video. His video talks about how “fearless” the animal is and that it “really doesn’t give a s–t. It just takes what it wants” To date, the YouTube minute, over 3 minutes long, and has over 35 million views. It’s really helped in promoting the animal to the public as well. It’s great to have a cause, isn’t it?
By the way, this isn’t all about the animal getting publicized on YouTube. Randall also has some promotional work of his own going on. His new book called “Honey Badger Don’t Care: Randall’s Guide to Crazy, Nastyass Animals,” is available as of just a few days ago. This could be the start of something very big for Randall. It wouldn’t be surprising in the least to see him appearing on talk shows and morning news programs with Jack Hannah handling a honey badger right next to him!
