Make Gourmet Tomato Soup

Soup isn’t just for winter any more. Soups are a great addition to any meal. Instead of having the normal vegetable as a side, why not add a soup with your meal. What better way to do this…than to spice up a can of one of your everyday favorite soups? This simple tomato soup recipe will help make this all happen for you.

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 medium onion chopped fine (1/2 cup)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 (3 ounce) package of cream cheese softened
  • 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans of condensed tomato soup
  • 1 soup can of whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sweet basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • lemon slices

Step 1:Cook the onion in butter until tender and lightly brown.

Step 2:Stir in the cream cheese; gradually add the soup. Stirring thoroughly.

Step 3:Beat with a mixer or whip by hand until the soup is smooth.

Step 4:Add the rest of the seasonings and mix well. Heat the soup, stirring frequently but do not bring to a boil. For decoration and an additional pop to your soup! Add a slice of lemon on top. Serves 4
