Howard Dean: Voter Fraud Is the Only Way Obama Loses in Ohio; Michael Steele Responds [Video]

Howard Dean was interviewed on “Morning Joe,” where the former DNC Chair told MSNBC’s Chuck Todd that voter fraud could cost Obama the state of Ohio.

He said:

“Given the vote and the leading in the polls in Ohio, the only way we can lose is if people are prevented from casting their ballots. Either by voting machines that aren’t functioning right or other forms of harassment.”

It is as if there are some who are anticipating the response, should President Obama lose his re-election bid. The final Ohio Poll shows President Obama with a lead over GOP nominee Mitt Romney, 50 percent support to 48.5, considered to be “too close to call.

This charge was rebuffed by Former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele, as reported by the Huffington Post, who called for cooler heads to prevail. He said, in part,

“I’m just not quick to jump, unless theres some real evidence you can produce to say that ‘I was prevented from voting’, to go as far as my friend Howard Dean went that there’s some deliberate cabal to sabotage people’s voting.”

With the crazy rhetoric leading up to this election day, there is no doubt that the multiple claims of voter suppression and other bad behavior at the polls today are taking their toll. It would be refreshing if America could take a breath, and work toward civility, on both sides of the aisle.
