The Hunger Games’ sequel Catching Fire casting for Finnick Odair, Johanna Mason and Brutus are heating up. Filming is set to begin in August so it’s no wonder that more and more rumors are linking actors and actresses to these three coveted roles.

CATCHING FIRE{ THE SECOND BOOK OF THE HUNGER GAMES} BY SUZANNE COLLINSFinnick is the one role most of young Hollywood actors are pinning for. On the other hand, the role of Johanna is having a similar effect on actresses.

The latest news about Johanna’s casting was that Glee‘s Naya Rivera wanted the role but she wasn’t in the running for it. Instead Mia Wasikowska and Zoe Aggeliki were the two most likely to get the part.

But that’s all changed because Wasikowska is now “definitely” out of the running. Instead Jena Malone is now the other name being linked to Johanna.

As for Brutus, this role isn’t as big as Finnick or Johanna but it is an important part in Catching Fire. Actor Keven Nash accidentally said he was being considered for a role but didn’t specify. Given Nash’s build, he may be in talks to play Brutus.

Now for the most talked about: the casting of Finnick Odair. The list of Finnick potentials has been chiseled down to just two. It was three for a while but after repeatedly denying he would be in the movie, Taylor Kitsch’s name has been dropped from the list. Armie Hammer and Gerrett Hedlund are the two who will supposedly get a chance to break hearts in The Hunger Games’ sequel Catching Fire.
