‘Hunger Games’ Sequel: ‘Catching Fire”s Francis Lawrence Making Major Changes?

Hunger Games’ sequel Catching Fire has a new director now and with that may come some major changes. Some of those changes may have fans excited while others may have fans concerned. In fact, the switch with directors had fans feeling a mixture of excitement and concern. Catching Fire‘s new director Francis Lawrence (no relation to Jennifer Lawrence) replaced Gary Ross who had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts with Jennifer.

However, the three major things devote fans are hoping Lawrence will change are adding Madge, pushing the fashion of the Capitol citizens to the extreme and incorporating Katniss’ narration via Jennifer.

It’s always difficult when making a movie like Hunger Games or its sequel Catching Fire. They are based on beloved books and already have a loyal following. Of course, those are the reasons the movies were made in the first place but they also pose issues for directors because everyone’s a critic these days. And, that’s never truer than with Hunger Games‘ huge fan base.
