Rocker Bret Michaels has been in the news in recent days, but not in a very favorable light. The former “Poison” frontman who beat death last winter and won Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” was portrayed as a home wrecker. He was rumored to have had an affair with Tish Cyrus, mom to actor/singer Miley Cyrus. Now Michaels wants to set the record straight.

According to People Magazine, Bret Michaels says the rumor is just that…a rumor. He says there is no basis for the spreading of the lie, and that he had nothing at all to do with Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus getting a divorce.

When Michaels was asked if he had an affair with Tish Cyrus, he said the following.

“The answer is no.”

So is Bret Michaels telling the truth or is he simply trying to dissuade fans from viewing him as a home wrecker and viewing Tish Cyrus as a scandalous woman who broke up the happy home of daughter Miley Cyrus, and gave Billy Ray Cyrus an actual “Achy Breaky Heart?” (Only the Enquirer knows for sure….)

Bret Michaels says his involvement with the Cyrus family has been “strictly professional.”

“When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song … and that was it,” he said.

But what about reports that Michaels used Tish Cyrus’ company to promote his work? Is that a rumor as well? Certainly the truth will eventually come out, but in the meantime Bret Michaels does appear to be sincere. And a man who just cheated death might value living enough to live a life of truth.

In the meantime Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus are getting a divorce, with “irreconcilable differences” as the reason, Bret Michaels in making music, and Miley Cyrus…about to turn 18, just longs for her family to all be together.

It sounds like more than one person has an “Achy Breaky Heart” at this stage of the game.
