I Want To Live Forever ~ A Chant Poem for MP2013 ~ A Day Late ~ A Dollar Short

When I gaze upon San Francisco Bay
Or dig in the dirt like I did today
I want to live forever

When roses blow perfume at me
Or pale blossoms flutter from the tree
I want to live forever

When I  schuss down slopes of powdered snow
Or witness the sunset’s salmon glow
I want to live forever

When I’m hiking on a pine scented trail
Or harvesting rainbow chard or kale
I want to live forever

When I view a picture of the earth
Or see a baby just after birth
I want to live forever

When I think of what I could achieve
Before this planet I must leave
I want to live forever
