Ian Somerhalder Looking to Date Women Other than Nina Dobrev

Ian Somerhalder is looking to date someone other than Nina Dobrev. And the lady had better be rich because her date with the Vampire Diaries hunk will set her back some bucks. Probably big ones. Yes, Somerhalder, who is reportedly the fan favorite to play the tall, dark, and sadistic Christian Grey in the eagerly awaited film version of “mommie porn” novel, Fifty Shades of Grey has decided to become an escort. Before his fans faint dead away, the money will go to Ian’s very own animal charity.

Yes, ladies, between now and July 18, you can bid for the chance to have an intimate, romantic lunch date with the tall, dark, non-sadistic Vampire Diaries actor. Somerhalder is selling himself, through “Charitybuzz” for one day to raise money for his own charity, The Ian Somerhalder Foundation. The foundation’s current project is “building an animal sanctuary to help injured and neglected animals.” That’s more than just a worthy cause. It’s a blessed one.

“There are just too many animals today that are abused, abandoned and mistreated,” Ian explained in a recent interview. “They’ve been ostracized … and they’re starving. It’s just unbelievable what we’ve done to some animals, and I think that’s why this is so important. I really appreciate you and your generosity. I will try not to bore you to tears [during the auctioned lunch date].”

How could a man who obviously cares about animals so deeply possibly be boring? Bravo for Ian Somerhalder. No wonder Nina Dobrev loves him. She must be very proud.

Mahatma Ghandi wrote: “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way in which its animals are treated. I hold that the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man.”

You go, animals. You too, vampire guy.
