In The Heat Of The Night – SunWE , 01/05/14, Gather Writing Essential

He smiled at me and I felt the heat

From the blush glowing on my cheek

Aware of his stare I wondered

Should I act  boldly or be meek

Then I heard the timbre of his voice

Hello, may I speak to you

My knees were wobbling a bit

I said , I have a minute or two

Heat was rising, did he know

I wondered why was he looking for me

He said he knew I existed somewhere

And there I was, his for all eternity

Some things are just pure fate

Many more years of exquisite fires

Enjoyed by two strangers

With like desires

I wouldn’t have missed a minute with him

For love burns brightly when it is right

And to this day I feel his warmth when he

Whispers , I love you darling, goodnight
