Iconic T.V. actor James Garner was rushed to the emergency room recently after a frightening incident.Â The eighty three year old actor suddenly developed severe breathing problems.Â His condition is obviously serious, and he is described by insiders as “frail and barely hanging on…”Â Â
According to The National Enquirer, James Garner was suddenly seized byÂ “terrifying”Â Â breathing problems and he was rushed to the emergency room at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica.Â Â Garner, who has been confined to a wheelchair for the past 3 years due to a stroke, became ill at his home in Brentwood.Â
“When Jim clutched his chest and couldn’t catch his breath, he thought it was the end,” said the insider.Â
James Garner starred in the wildly popular, long-running T.V. series Maverick which debuted in the 1950s.Â He returned to series television in the ’70s as star of the crime drama The Rockford Files.Â He also appeared on the big screen in films such as Victor/Victoria, The Great Escape, and The Notebook.Â Garner revisited the role that made him famous in the 1990s playing the father of Mel Gibson’s Maverick in the movie version of the classic T.V. western.Â Maverick the movie also starred Jodie Foster.
