Mega Millions Results January 3, 2012
There were six (6) Match 5 + 0 winners for $250,000 each. Two (2) of the Mega Millions winners purchased their tickets from the California Lottery, two (2) from the New York Lottery, and one (1) each in Oregon and Wisconsin. The winners matched five out of six Mega Millions winning numbers, but not the Mega Ball number.
If any of these winners also purchased Megaplier tickets, their winnings would automatically increase to $1,000,000! If they didn’t spend an extra buck on the Megaplier option, these second-tier winners will be crying over their cereal Wednesday morning when they discover they could have been millionaires for just one dollar more!
There were also twenty-eight (28) Match 4 + 1 winners for $10,000 each. Since Tuesday’s Megaplier number was 2, any Megaplier ticket holders with these lottery numbers will see their prizes instantly multiplied to $20,000 each. A total of 453,574 lottery winners won prizes ranging from between $2 and at least $250,000, with the possibility of a few millionaires thrown in for good measure!
