Jealous Angelina Jolie Hates Jennifer Lawrence–Is It Because of Brad Pitt?

Angelina Jolie reportedly hates Jennifer Lawrence’s guts, but her animosity toward The Hunger Games star has nothing to do with Brad Pitt and his rumored wandering eye. It’s all about her career. It seems Angie wanted the starring role in Jennifer’s new movie Silver Linings Playbook. Angie reportedly “campaigned hard” for the role, but lost out to La Lawrence. Ouch.

“Angelina desperately wanted the female lead in the movie,” tattled an inside source. “It was a prime role with great dialogue, and Angelina campaigned hard for it. But once the director saw Jennifer’s audition, it was no contest. Jennifer blew her out of the water.”

Even more devastating for La Jolie must be the fact that she was the original first choice for the part. Director David O. Russell thought Lawrence was too young and immature to play the complicated, emotionally damaged young widow. But once he saw her audition, he changed his mind and kicked Angie to the curb. Needless to say, La Jolie was not amused.

“Angie was beside herself,” the source continued. “She screeched, ‘What’s she got that I don’t have.’ The simple answer is youth. Angie’s getting older and the big parts are going to rising young stars like Jennifer.”

Ouch. Unfortunately for Angie, that’s sad but true. In Hollywood, which after all, merely reflects the ageism and sexism of mainstream culture, youth and beauty are everything. While Jennifer Lawrence will never be as beautiful as Angelina Jolie, she is much younger.

“Angie’s seething,” concluded the source. “It’s a juicy, award-winning part, and she thinks it should have been hers.”

So there you have it. Do you feel sorry for Angie or not?

Note: What is it with La Jolie and women named Jennifer? Is it fate or just bad luck?
