In a recent interview, Jennifer Aniston finally commented on the slew of ridiculous rumors that have plagued her since that fateful day in 2005 when someone decided to hire Angelina Jolie and Jen’s then-husband, Brad Pitt, for a film called Mr. & Mrs. Smith. That was 6 years ago, and Jen has long since moved on.
Yes, Jennifer Aniston has finally fired back at the tabloids’ ridiculous depiction of her as a bitter, lovesick, depressed divorcée crying over the husband that got away. The truth is that she doesn’t waste any sleep crying over Brad or plotting vengeance against What’s-Her-Name. Jen went on to make it clear that her newly fabricated tabloid persona–the glamorous A-list movie star who stole her new boyfriend, Justin Theroux away from his girlfriend of 14 years–is equally untrue. She declared unequivocally that most of what the tabloids write about her and other stars is pure nonsense. Or as Jen so succinctly put it in the October issue of Glamour Magazine:
“There’s not nearly as much stealing and obsessing and middle-of-the-night secret calls to ex-boyfriends and scheming and cheating [as they lead you to believe.] Most of it’s just bull–it, however entertaining.”
So there you have it. Kudos to Jennifer Aniston for finally speaking out against all this boyfriend stealing/bitter divorcée nonsense. Men are not property; therefore they cannot be stolen. They have free will, and they do as they please. As for the beautiful, talented, rich, and famous Jennifer Aniston being bitter, that doesn’t even qualify as a poor joke.
You go, Jen.
