Reunited and it feels so good!  Jennifer Aniston recently signed on to join the TV series “Cougar Town” which stars her “Friends” pal, Courteney Cox.   The two reunited back in 2007 for another Courteney Cox show which was not quite as successful.

According to, ABC has confirmed that the “Friends” stars will re-unite, at least for one episode of the “Cougar Town” show.  They’re reporting that Aniston is slated to appear on the show’s second-season premiere episode on September 22nd.  As for Aniston’s role, it appears that she’ll play Courtney Cox’s character’s shrink named Bonnie.

The shows exec producer Bill Lawrence describes the characters as:

“Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has.”

As for the chemistry between the two, they last appeared together following the end of “Friends” when Aniston guest-starred on “Dirt”, Courteney Cox’s former FX dramedy show.  Now they’ll be back together again and it sounds like they’re both giving this their creative efforts.  Bill Lawrence says of the pair:

“It starts and ends with Courtney and Jennifer being really great friends and excited to work together again—especially doing comedy together,” Lawrence adds. “Every day that those two talk they have more ideeas about [the role]. It’s definitely something they’re both involved in creatively.”

While Aniston’s movies have bombed at the box office lately and met with critical dismay (example – “The Bounty Hunter”), she’s done good television work during her career.  This pairing of Cox and Aniston is good news for fans of both actresses, “Friends” and especially the show “Cougar Town”.  It was reported that Cox didn’t want to bring her friend Jen Aniston onto the show until it was more established.  It seems to be the case now.  However will this make fans only hope for some sort of “Friends” reunion special, or that Aniston stops doing movies and joins the “Cougar Town” cast for good?
