Joan Rivers is Mad, Why?

From the ‘cry me a river,’ category: comedienne, plastic surgery advocate, and ‘geriatric-Twitter queen,’ Joan Rivers is mad that she has been left off of the new season of ABC’s hit television show ‘Dancing with the Stars.’

Iconic funny woman, and plastic surgery advocate, Joan Rivers, takes part in a Q&A after a screening of her film Piece of Work in New York City, New York, USA on July 1, 2010. Joan admitted that childhood poverty caused her to be the driven person that she is today. She also divulged that she would be making an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman after many years away from late night television that stemmed from a long running conflict with the late Johnny Carson. Rivers insists the producers from the show completely ignored her interest in the dance competition. The comedienne hoped to join the new season, but never received a phone call from the show. The cast of the new season was revealed Monday (August 30) and she was not a part of it.

In an interview with, Rivers exclaims with disgust that, “They’ve never asked me, so they can go **** themselves! I certainly fall into their old lady category.”

If that was not enough, Rivers continued, claiming that she wanted to do the show so that it she could get some “exercise, making yourself dance every day for six hours a day I think would be so great.”

Was Joan Rivers just trying to be funny about being left off the show or did she seriously want to be on ‘Dancing with the Stars?’ Investigating her Twitter page, she makes no mention of it, though she does discuss the Emmy Red Carpet, Paris Hilton, and ‘The Jersey Shore.’
