The economy may be down, but if you’re a high payed A-lister in Hollywood, you can afford a new home.  Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt buy an Italian Villa for a reported $40 million in the latest celeb news.  The couple had been looking at a number of different multi-million dollar properties in the area and finally found one they both loved.

How big is the new villa?

Sky Italy Magazine first reported the news, that the couple dubbed ‘Brangelina’ passed over the $10 million villas they checked out.  Instead they opted for a luxury home which is situated in Valpolicella, Italy, a location for Jolie’s latest film ‘The Tourist’.  While playing real life tourists the duo went shopping for a third home.  The new Jolie Pitt home is over 18,000 square feet with sixteen rooms and is situated near Verona.  It also has 15 bedrooms, home cinema, a gym, jacuzzis and two swimming pools.  A property consultant noted that the couple ‘wanted something more exclusive’ and ‘to spend the summer vacation in Italy.’  Great choice of location!

Brangelina gets plenty of space for R&R!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt currently have six kids, and they’re often seen out and about.  Pitt and Jolie have two other homes in New Orleans and Los Angeles.  A favorite target of paparazzi, hopefully they can get some R&R in their new home away from US homes.  Sounds like a great property for one of Hollywood’s power couples.  With all their adopted children, they’ve got more than enough space to enjoy at the new villa!
