Julia Roberts Converts to Hinduism

Julia Roberts decided to convert to Hinduism during her filming of “Eat Pray Love.”  While filming the movie based on the travel memoirs of Elizabeth Gilbert, Roberts found Hinduism in India.

Her parents are Baptist and Catholic, but the Hollywood actress found Hinduism more to her liking and spiritual beliefs. While in India, part of her travels brought her to a spiritual pilgrimage where she learned about yoga and mediation. She discovered life in a sharam. She also now believes in reincarnation. In true Julia Roberts style, she wants her next life to be quiet, according to Jam Movies.

She has gotten her family involved in Hinduism as well. They chant, and pray and celebrate life. It all sounds so peaceful, and so like the person who Julia Roberts wants to be.

She appears happier since she made the movie, “Eat Pray Love.” Just as Elizabeth Gilbert found peace and happiness, Robert has as well. The book and the movie are inspiring. Maybe we can all learn a lesson from Julia Robert’s new movie. Maybe not Hinduism, the ancient religion, but how to relax more, and get more joy and peace out of life.

Julia Roberts will appear on the cover of Elle Magazine in September.

She tells Elle magazine, “I’m definitely a practising Hindu.” Roberts will appear on the cover of Elle magazine in September.
