Justin Bieber Believes in His Fans: Not Worried About One Direction

Justin Bieber knows all about the crush of fellow heart-throb competition–and the latest installment of such may just come courtesy of the U.K. with One Direction. Bieber’s girlfriend, Selena Gomez, even seems to be a hardcore fan of the adorable boy band, dubbed the “British invasion,” as she and her gal pals including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Ashley Tisdale were all spotted dancing to their music at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards last Saturday night. The “What Makes You Beautiful” singers obviously have the enviable approval of these pretty starlets… and a whole crop of other young girls, too!

With One Direction’s new hot-topic standing and their ever-growing fan club, is Justin Bieber worried that they might outshine his own pop sensation status?! It’s a legitimate question and a practical concern. After all, there have been many teeny-bopper faves who skyrocketed to fame, only to be replaced by the next big, cute thing.

But the “Baby” singer is apparently not troubled at all, saying during a radio interview, “I don’t think anyone is taking my fans. I’m all for sharing. I think music is a great thing and a universal language.” Well said, Justin Bieber. The 18-year-old definitely displays a maturity that is far beyond his years and seems to be handling the pressures and pitfalls of Hollywood quite well.

File:Justin Bieber, April 2011.jpgAs Hollywood Life reports, the Biebs even gave his fans an extra shout-out during the interview, admitting, “I have the greatest fans in the world. They are never going to betray me. They can like whoever they want.” Talk about an “awww” moment. Bieber is not only sweet on his main gal, Selena Gomez, but also has quite the love affair with his followers. But, who wouldn’t though in his position. Those fans are responsible for making his career such a success and, judging by the buzz about Bieber’s new single, “Boyfriend,” and his upcoming album, Believe, they aren’t leaving his side anytime soon… not even for a British boy band.
