Justin Bieber is usually the show stopper, but after an accident involving Samuel Koch, Justin felt the show needed to be canceled, or at least postponed. Samuel was attempting to jump cars, while on a pair of spring stilts. After a few successful jumps, things went horribly wrong. That might even  be putting it mildly.

So what went wrong?

DUESSELDORF, GERMANY - DECEMBER 04: TV hosts Thomas Gottschalk (L) and Michelle Hunziker (C) chat with Samuel Koch (R) during the 192th 'Wetten, dass ...?' show at the exhibition hall Dusseldorf on December 4, 2010 in Duesseldorf, Germany. During the first game candidate Samuel Koch was hit by the car falling over it and then hitting the ground with his face. After this serious accident in Europe's most widley watched TV prime time show called 'Wetten, dass...?', the entertainer and presenter Thomas Gottschalk decided to not continue the show. This is the first time in the over 20 year history of the show, that such a critical accident happened during the show. (Photo by Andreas Rentz/Getty Images) The stunt happened live, on the show Wetten Dass (Bet It), according to Babble. Samuel Koch’s first and second jumps were successful. On his fourth jump, with his father behind the wheel of the car, 23 year old Koch landed horribly and according to the video injured his neck and spine. Youtube has been pulling the videos, so people wishing to view the stunt are having to move quickly. The Today Show aired a report, but stopped short of showing the actual accident. What made this even worse was Koch’s mother being in the audience at the time. It’s hard to imagine watching your son in a terrifying accident but it must be extremely hard on his father. With him being behind the wheel of the car, he had to know the risks involved, but that wouldn’t make it any easier to stomach guilt after the accident.

Justin Bieber cancels appearance following the accident.

MADRID, SPAIN - NOVEMBER 29: Singer Justin Bieber signs copies of his new album My Worlds The Collection at El Corte Ingles Store on November 29, 2010 in Madrid, Spain. (Photo by Carlos Alvarez/Getty Images) Justin Bieber meanwhile, felt that in this case the show needed to wait. Bieber tweetedJust want to let my people in Germany know I won’t be on Wetten Dass tonight, as an accident has taken place and we all don’t think it is right to continue.” He also added, “Please pray for Samuel Koch & his family, as we wait and hope for his health and safety.” It’s good he canceled his appearance. To have went on ,would have been in poor taste, and surely his nerves were a mess after being a witness to the night events.

Would you be able to have the nerves to try a stunt like Samuel Koch did? Do you think Justin Bieber should have stay and performed? The first video is one of the only videos we could find of the accident and the second is the Today Show coverage. Please chime in with a comment, to let us know your thoughts!
