Justin Bieber Drops Major Cash on Himself, Not Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber may value his relationship with girlfriend Selena Gomez more than gold, but the “Baby” singer still knows a thing or two about swag. After all, he sings about it in his catchy new track, “Boyfriend.” But instead of showering everything that money can buy on his girl (no doubt, he’s done plenty of that anyway!), Bieber is currently throwing cash around for some boy toys and even a few unexpected items. Just lately, he’s added a “Swag Car” Smart Car to his stable of wheels that already includes a Fisker Karma and a Batmobile and he even bought a pricey piece of artwork, of all things! However, he’s also recently proven that Gomez isn’t the only one who can work a piece of jewelry with panache. The Biebs wore quite the accessory to Wango Tango last Saturday, May 12.

The pop sensation was at the KIIS-FM concert extravaganza at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California to introduce his protegé, “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen. (Too bad Selena Gomez wasn’t there, too!) He, of course, garnered lots of screams from excited Beliebers. But Justin Bieber’s star power and Jepsen’s emerging fame factor weren’t the only things shining on stage. Bieber’s bling-tastic necklace was, too!

File:Justin Bieber, April 2011.jpgAs Celebuzz reports, that piece of swag, which Bieber paired with a white T-shirt and denim jacket, was a cool $34,500. From afar, the double chain necklace with a dog tag and a whistle looked pretty standard. Get up close and personal, though, and one could see that the gold whistle was embedded with diamonds. Bieber definitely was one hot (and expensive!) property at Wango Tango.

And, just about a week ago, Justin Bieber also showed up with major dollar bills around his neck–he wore a $20,000 piece in Las Vegas when he escorted Floyd Mayweather, Jr. into the boxing ring on May 5, as Celebuzz notes. Looks like diamonds aren’t just a girl’s best friend.
