Justin Bieber Gets His Own Hometown Star

Justin Bieber has been honored in his own hometown with a star–much likes those on the Hollywood Walk of Fame–of his very own. Located at the very spot where Justin used to sing and play his guitar for tips in Stratford, Ontario–the star now commemorates the big star he has become.

According to Hollywood Life, Justin learned of the exciting news Friday morning via email, and immediately tweeted his followers with the big announcement.

“woke up 2day and got an email of this star in front of the place i used to busk in my hometown. #DREAMBIG. and thank u,” Justin tweeted. He even included a Twitter picture of the actual star.

Even though Justin Bieber has won numerous incredibly prestigious awards as a singer, and has sold millions of albums, it still must be quite an honor to be recognized in this way by your own hometown. Imagine how exciting it will be when he finally gets home to see it. He will likely pose for photos with dignitaries–and maybe even a few fans–by his very own star.

It’s pretty likely that after Justin learned of the star commemorating his career in his hometown, that he immediately shared the good news with girlfriend Selena Gomez. Since both of them are in L.A. right now–Justin is working on an album and Selena has a month off–they’ve been having a great time, going out on dates and appearing at red carpet events together.

Both Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez wholeheartedly support one another’s careers. Selena is undoubtedly very proud of her boyfriend.

Congratulations are certainly in order for Justin Bieber for receiving a star in his honor in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario in Canada. The people there are no doubt very proud of him, too. It’s not often that a hometown boy makes a mark on the world the way Justin Bieber has.
