Justin Bieber Needs Mom’s Permission For Selena Gomez Sleepover

Justin Bieber is a pop superstar who can take over the entire Staples Center just so he and his girlfriend Selena Gomez can have a totally private date watching Titanic together. But even with all that wealth, fame, and power, JB still needs his mother’s permission to go to Selena’s house and spend the night–and also, presumably, vice versa.

According to insiders, it was Selena Gomez who suggested that the two teens go out for a quiet, intimate dinner at Beverly Hills’ Mastro’s Steakhouse after their rather unsettling experiences at the première of Selena’s ex Taylor Lautner’s film, Abduction. Even more interestingly, the gorgeous former Disney starlet, also suggested that they should go to her place for a “pajama party” afterwards. Sounds like fun. But alas, JB couldn’t say yes, until he “whipped out his cell phone in the limo, [and] called home.” After chatting with the person on the other end for a few minutes, he reportedly turned back to Selena and exclaimed excitedly:

“Mom said it was okay!”

Okay. This story was reported by the National Enquirer–a publication with a reputation for telling tall tales. Of course, knowing Justin Bieber’s great respect for and close relationship with his mom, Pattie Mallette, it could be true. The question that comes to mind is: How would anyone know what was said and/or done in the back of the couple’s limo? Isn’t that why the passengers and the chauffeur are separated by that glass partition? Was the limo bugged or something?

Of course, if the story is true, how embarrassing for Justin Bieber. The guy makes over $50 million a year, yet he has to ask his mother if he can spend the night at his girlfriend’s.

Hang in, JB. That 18th birthday is just around the bend.

In the meantime, you go, Pattie Mallette.
