Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Break-up Rumors: New Details Revealed

The Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez break-up rumors just won’t go away. By now, anyone who hasn’t been living under a rock for the past week has heard both versions of Jelena’s alleged split. In the first, JB reportedly sent his lady-love a heartless “kiss off” tweet which he immediately deleted. In the second version it was Selena who kicked Biebs to the curb because he’d supposedly hooked up with Rihanna. Right. Many fan sites offered as proof the facts that Justin did not thank Selena at the recent Billboards Awards show, and that Selena had unfollowed JB on Twitter. Ouch. Does any of this constitute proof?

Whatever the state of their relationship, Selena Gomez has not unfollowed Justin Bieber–not recently, not ever. That is definitely a false report and a stupid one since it was easily disproved. As far as JB failing to thank La Gomez at the Billboard Awards, there was really no reason for him to do so. Since he “won the award for having the most Twitter followers of any artist,” there was no reason for him to thank Selena or anybody else for that matter–except his 22 million Twitter followers. Duh. Lastly, the Rihanna rumor is patently ridiculous. Although Justin is now 18 years old, he hardly seems like RihRih’s type. And even if Rihanna turned out to be willing, Justin “spent Sunday evening with Chris Brown.” It’s hardly likely JB would want to make the Chris Brown, Rihanna, Karueche triangle a square, and then go hang out with CB. That would be just plain perverted, not to mention unwise considering Mr. Breezy’s famous temper.

So, there you have it. Like Mark Twain’s death, the rumors of Jelena’s parting company have been greatly exaggerated. Hopefully, they’ve also been laid to rest. Until the next time.
